Tamla Young

TAMLA YOUNG was born in Kingston, Jamaica and has always felt connected to the Caribbean, and a strong need to preserve her Caribbean roots.. She has been dancing with Caribbean Dance Theatre (CDT) since 2001. Prior to joining CDT she danced with Scarborough Caribbean Youth Dance Ensemble (SCYDE).

 

From a very young age, Tamla has always been involved with and shown a passion for the performing arts. She graduated from York University with a B.A. Honours in Fine Arts Cultural Studies and recently completed a graduate certificate in Arts Administration and Cultural Management. SAYAMANDA is her fourth production with Dance Caribe and she is enjoying every moment of it!
