Natasha Washington
NATASHA Washington began dancing at age 9 with the Hummingbird Dancers of Oshawa where she enjoyed 11 years showcasing the diversity of the Caribbean through dance.
As Hummingbirds Principal Dancer, she was recognized with several awards including Most Outstanding Female Performer at the Caribbean Junior Folklore Dance festival in 1997, 1998 and 1999, as well as Most Outstanding Individual in 1999. Natasha made her DCPC debut in the 2000 production of Ambakaila after which she took a 5 year hiatus from dance to pursue her educational and career goals.
She has since attained a diploma in Digital Media Design and is currently the Co-Founder and Lead Designer of Dreamscape Interactive New Media Design. Natasha made her return to the art form in Koombana Suite in 2005.
