Dance Captain / Core Lead Dancer

Gillian Alleyne

GILLIAN ALLEYNE was born in Canada of Dominican background and has been a member of Dance Caribe for ten years a Senior Core dancer for the past five.

 

She joined DCPC as a junior dancer and graduated to take part in several major productions such as Ambakaila (2000), Remorse in De Gayal (2002) and Danse Du Sol (2007).In 2002, she was the winner of the Junior Carnival Queen Competition in Canadas Caribana Festival. She is well advanced in various dance styles such as Ballet, Tap and Urban Jazz, Modern Contemporary and Afro-Caribbean.

 

As an Alumni Graduate of Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technologys Court and Tribunal Agent Diploma Program, she currently works as a Court Clerk for the Ontario Court of Justice of Canada. Gillian is proud and honored to be a part of SAYAMANDA , and looks forward to participating in future productions.
